The Solar System

Eight planets continuously move around the sun
Trying to remember about each of them at times is no fun.
There are 4 inner ones, all of them small
Gravity keeps them in place so they do not fall.

Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars
They are quite smaller than the stars.
The bigger ones, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
Each of them having more than one moon.

Many rings come to mind when we think of Saturn
High temperatures on Mercury, if I visit I would burn.
Uranus and Neptune are known for their blue glow
Earth, the only planet over which many water bodies flow.

I could never miss Venus, the brightest in the sky
Mars, the red planet with mountains so high.
Jupiter the largest one with a big red spot
Just remember, the small ones are most times hot
but the big ones are not.
