The Water Cycle
When the sun reaches me I begin to evaporate
I change from liquid to the gas state.
Up, up in the air I expand and go
I condense to form clouds as dust particles help me to grow.
When I become too heavy up there in the air
I get happy and with the earth I begin to share.
So now will come the drops sometimes big or small
It is called precipitation but most times it is just rainfall.
Over the land I flow seeping into soils and rushing into rivers
Anywhere that will have me I tend to just enter.
But wherever I go I know it will not be forever
The heat from the sun will reach me again sooner or later.
The cycle will begin again as I evaporate, condense and precipitate
Changing each time from state to state.
It's the same water that continues to move from place to place
Isn't it just amazing how one drop of water from the ocean can be on your face?
