Adventures Primary Mathematics – Book 3 is a new and exciting mathematics textbook that matches the National Standards Curriculum of the Ministry of Education (Jamaica). It comprehensively covers the Grade 3 topics taught to Caribbean students ages 8 to 9. In this textbook, students are engaged then encouraged to explore, explain, evaluate, elaborate on and investigate the content which is linked to real-life scenarios. Students are also given practice exercises throughout the book and in the workbook at the back to assess and increase their knowledge.

Adventures Primary Mathematics – Book 3 contains 17 units which are in line with the topics in the curriculum. In each unit are the following features:

• On These Adventures – states the objectives at the beginning of each lesson
• Fun Time with Mikey – features engaging activities
• Adventure Time (teaching activity) – explores and explains concepts
• Got? Got it! – provides students with evaluation exercises on what they have learned
• More Adventures – provides extended learning activities that can be done in class or at home the units, three monkey characters, Max, Mikey and Mindy help to guide the students as they learn the various concepts and are assessed along the way.

The 17 core units are followed by a workbook with 17 short but stimulating units. The topics of the workbook units correspond with those of the core units.

This book is the latest in the Adventures series, which embraces primary level textbooks that cover Grades 1–6 language arts and mathematics concepts to meet the objectives of the latest curricula. The books in the series also have a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.
