Carlong Secondary Social Studies – Book 1 is geared towards Grade 7 students. The books in this series aim to develop the foundational competencies, attitudes and skills that students need to be successful in the social studies examination at the CSEC© level. The series is aligned to the Ministry of Education and Youth’s National Standards Curriculum (NSC) for the lower secondary level.
This series uses an activity-based approach to ensure that students become skilled in the competencies required for this subject. Content which the students must know, based on curriculum requirements, will be given in summarized snippets and supported by numerous and varied activities.
