Delroy Alleyne

– is an educator and former mathematics

officer in charge of testing and evaluation with the MOE,

Jamaica.

B.B. Anders

– is a Jamaican author. His inspiration for writing

fun and exciting children’s books came from the years he spent

working with children and interacting with his own.

Conrad Archie

– has taught mathematics for over 15 years. He

currently teaches at the Institute of Academic Excellence and

conducts CXC

workshops in high schools across Jamaica.

Anne-María Bankay,

PhD – is a senior lecturer in the

Department of Educational Studies at UWI Mona where she

specialises in Modern Language Education.

Hyacinth Bennett

– is a distinguished educator and successful

author. She is the founder and president of the Hydel Group of

Schools and University College in St Catherine, Jamaica.

Sonia E. Bennett –

is an experienced and highly successful

educator and educational technologist. She is currently

the publishing manager at Carlong Publishers (Caribbean)

Limited.

Mechelle Best

– is an associate professor of Tourism at

California State University Northridge where she also teaches

courses in Sustainability. She has over 15 years’ professional

experience in the tourism industry.

Mauvalyn Bowen,

PhD – is an assistant professor in the

Forbes School of Business at Ashford University and former

head of the Joan Duncan School of Entrepreneurship Ethics &

Leadership at the University of Technology, Jamaica.

David V.C. Browne

– is a former member of the CXC

History panel and the principal of Queen’s College, Barbados.

Diane Browne

– is a former teacher, publisher, writer and

editor. She was the recipient of the prestigious bronze

Musgrave Medal for Children’s Literature from the Institute of

Jamaica.

Nina Bulgin

– taught geography at the secondary level in

Jamaica for many years. She is a former vice principal of St Jago

High School, Jamaica.

Lesley Burrows

– is an accounting teacher at St Anthony’s

College, Trinidad and Tobago.

Acolla Cameron

– is programme co-ordinator and lecturer

in Tourism in the Department of Management Studies at the

University of theWest Indies, St Augustine.

Revd Claudette Campbell

– is a deacon of the Methodist

Church in Jamaica specializing in Christian Education and

youth ministries.

Hazel D. Campbell

– has written and edited stories for children

and has produced children’s programmes for radio and

television. She is the recipient of the 1997 Vic Reid Award for

Children’s Literature and a silver Musgrave Medal from the

Institute of Jamaica in 2011.

Marcia Campbell

– is an experienced primary level teacher in

Jamaica. She has served as a resource teacher for the MOEYI,

Jamaica.

Cecile Carrington

– is an experienced educator who taught

for many years in secondary schools in Trinidad. She has been

involved in teacher evaluation for Jamaica’s MOEYI.

Henderson Carter

– is a lecturer in the Department of History

and Philosophy at the University of theWest Indies, Cave Hill.

Revd James Chan

– was a teacher of accounts for

many years and worked as well at adjudicating Caribbean

examinations.

Paulette Chedda

– is a science specialist who taught at the

primary level for many years. She has served the MOE, Jamaica,

as a resource teacher and is a principal at the primary level.

Brendalee Cole

– is an experienced teacher at the primary level

in Jamaica and the region.

Marceline Collins-Figueroa

– is an experienced educator and

senior lecturer in science education at the UWI, Mona.

Zeno Constance

– is a Trinidadian who has won numerous

awards and is one of the Caribbean’s finest playwrights.

Novelette Cooke

– served for years as Head of the Business

Department at the Turks and Caicos Community College and

at St Hugh’s High School, Jamaica. She has also worked as

a regional examiner in business subjects and as a trainer at

examination workshops.

Nigel Cooper

– teaches Accounting and is Dean-Secondary at

Fatima College, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Phyllis Coy

– is a retired tutor in the Department of Language

and Linguistics, UWI, Mona. She taught language arts,

literature and drama in various schools in Canada. She also

assisted with the development of the Canadian Language Arts

curriculum.

Milton Drepaul

– has taught English at the secondary and

tertiary levels in various Caribbean countries. He has served

as a regional examiner and now works as an educational

consultant.

Paulette Dunn-Smith

– is a former manager, Testing and

Measurement at the NCTVET, Jamaica. She is also a former

teacher and now works as a consultant.

Marjorie Edwards-Bailey

– is a primary school principal in

Jamaica and an experienced teacher. She is a resource teacher

for the MOEYI, Jamaica.

Rosena Ferguson-Slater

– is a dynamic primary school teacher

with many years of experience in the classroom.

Linda Fields

– currently teaches English at Broward College,

Davie, Florida.

Dolores Flemming

– is a former music teacher at St Jago High

School, Jamaica. She was among the first batch of teachers to

be trained for CSEC

Music.

Ian Flowers

– is an experienced primary level teacher in

Jamaica.

Wayne Ganpat

– is a lecturer in Agricultural Extension, Faculty

of Food and Agriculture, University of theWest Indies, St

Augustine.

Sheilah Garcia-Bisnott,

PhD – is a distinguished educator, CXC

examiner and successful textbook author. She now manages

her own school.

Olando Gayle

– has enjoyed great success as a teacher of

chemistry. Over the years he has held various training SBA

workshops with chemistry teachers. He is now an ordained

minister in the Anglican church.

Gwen Gbedemah

, PhD – was a distinguished Caribbean

scholar and expert in the teaching of reading. She was also a

senior lecturer at the School of Education, UWI, Mona.
